Stone Age, as we know it today, evolved from the tile installation end of the industry in 1979.   Two brothers, who came from Italy over 25 years ago performed all of the tile installations.  Their customers were extremely impressed with their knowledge & old world techniques, the end results were unparalleled.  Their business grew with referrals and felt they needed to take their success to the next level.  They opened their first tile showroom in the late 1980’s and quickly began to establish a presence in the northern end of Rockland County.  Some years later, they moved the operations to a better centralized area of the county to attract more customers.  As a few years passed, they decided to expand the business by taking on a business partner.  At this point, they opened their second location in Rye, NY in Westchester County under a new name Stone Age and set up a smaller gallery type showroom which showcased more of a high end product which attracted the likes of some of the top designers in Westchester and Connecticut.  While the showroom brought some success, they felt this location overgrew it’s boundaries and quickly needed to find an expansive location to display a larger, more diverse selection of products.  In fact, they found an ideal property which landed them back in Rockland County in the main shopping hub of Nanuet, NY.  

This location is the sole entity of Stone Age and is prospering with builders, designers, architects, contractors, and discriminating homeowners.  It is our reputation of excellence that we hold in the industry today that we receive from our clients from offering an outstanding level of quality products, diversity in product selection, value in service, and an experienced team enabled to guide our customers from inspiration to installation in projects ranging from bathroom remodels to complete grand residences.
